MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — A 43-year-old man from Rodney, Mich. is behind bars after ramming his vehicle into his neighbor’s vehicle late Friday night following an argument.

According to a release from police, the suspect got into an argument with his neighbor while parked in the neighbor’s driveway located near the intersection of 17 Mile Road and 90th Ave. He proceeded to ram into the vehicle three times before driving away from the scene.

One person standing between the two vehicles reportedly had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. Two people were in the vehicle being hit and one was injured during an attempt to get out of the car. Those injuries were minor and the person refused medical attention, according to police.

After fleeing the scene, the suspect’s damaged vehicle broke down near Evart, Mich. where a family member picked him up to take him to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office to turn himself in to police. The suspect was later taken to the Mecosta County Jail.

The man is now facing charges for felonious assault, felony malicious destruction of property and driving without a license.

Police are not releasing the man’s name until he is arraigned in court.
