Man Stabbed After an Argument

PENN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (July 20, 2014)– Cass County Sheriff’s Department have a suspect in custody after a stabbing that happened Sunday.

According to Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. his deputies responded to an assault with intent to murder just after midnight Sunday morning. The incident happened in the 60,000 block of Main Street in Vandalia.

The victim, 46-year-old Mark Perkins, was stabbed twice after getting into a verbal fight with the suspect. Perkins was transported to the hospital for his non-life threatening injuries.

According to police the suspect was later apprehended and charged. His name is being withheld at this time pending arraignment.
