WYOMING, Mich. — Wyoming police are investigating a suspicious death that was discovered at midday Wednesday and was declared a homicide investigation later in the day.
According to Wyoming Public Safety Capt. Kim Koster, the body was found around noon in a wooded area near Gezon Court. At 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Koster told FOX 17 NEWS that the investigation had transitioned into a homicide investigation.
Wyoming police said that while officers were investigating an abandoned vehicle at about noon Wednesday, they found the body of a dead male in a wooded area just north of Gezon Court. Investigators determined the death to be suspicious in nature.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wyoming Public Safety Department. Investigators would like to speak with the male driver and female passenger of a white SUV who spoke with a Wyoming police officer at a gas station near the scene during the early morning hours Sunday.
