ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A bicycle rider died in a car-bike crash Wednesday evening.
According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday between Three Mile Road and Four Mile Road in the 3200 block of Egypt Valley Ave. NE in Ada Township.
We’re told a 52-year-old man from Grand Rapids was riding his bike on Egypt Valley, when a man in his sixties driving a Mercury Mountaineer hit him from behind. The victim was killed as a result of the crash.
Deputies say the driver the of the Mountaineer was arrested for operating under the influence.
