GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 28, 2014)– Runners flew through the streets of downtown GR Saturday morning.
The ‘Super Run’ kicked off Saturday at 9 a.m. Runners dressed as super heroes as they raced through the course, all for a good cause. The race was held to raise awareness and funds for the Lutheran Social Services of Michigan.
There was a 1K family race that actually went through parts of the Robinette’s Apple Orchard, and there was a more challenging 5K race for the older runners. Staff for the event said the race was super-hero themed because they want people to be super-heroes and foster children in Michigan.
