GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 22, 2014) — A Spectrum security guard was shot outside Butterworth Hospital Sunday night, according to Grand Rapids Police.
Police say a suspicious male, possibly a thief, was in parking ramp 7, and the guard went to investigate. That’s when he was shot. The suspect got away.
Police said the guard’s injuries are non-life threatening. There is a heavy police presence in the area of Michigan and Lafayette.
