BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (June 17, 2014) — Battle Creek Police say a man connected to a fatal shooting was arrested Tuesday in a residence at the Creek Valley Mobile Home Park, 70 Creek Valley Cir.
Police said the 24-year-old suspect tried to run and was arrested at approximately 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. Officers said they remained outside the residence until about 4 p.m. until it was cleared by a SWAT team.
No one else was inside.
Police believe the man they arrested is connected to the shooting death of 27-year-old Allyn William Reeve Jr.
Reeve was killed Tuesday morning at a home on East Territorial Road after police say two men tried to rob him.
