MICHIGAN (June 13, 2014) – Democratic Rep. Gary Peters may be gaining momentum in the race for U.S. Senate in Michigan.
While polling has shown a back-and-forth contest, recent surveys have Peters ahead of Republican Terri Lynn Land.
A poll released Wednesday by MIRS News had Peters leading 45 percent to 42 percent. The survey was conducted by Mitchell Research.
Magellan Strategies shows Peters ahead by 9 percentage points, getting 50 percent support among likely voters.
Polling conducted for Detroit-area newspapers, released during the Mackinac Policy Conference, have also shown Peters ahead.
