CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. (June 12, 2014) — Several warrants were issued against multiple suspects in Calhoun County relating to drug investigations that involved two meth labs, heroin, and marijuana.

On June 11, deputies responded to two suspicious women in the area of East Coolidge Avenue and North Avenue. That’s when they discovered that one of the women, 25, from Battle Creek, had a felony warrant for dangerous drugs and a misdemeanor warrant. Police also found that the second woman, 24, from Augusta, had a mobile meth lab.

Based on that investigation, deputies got search warrants for two men in Bedford Township, and around 9:30 p.m., the Calhoun County Special Response Team executed those warrants on Billy Drive, where they found another meth lab.

They found a 38-year-old man who had several warrants against him. He was arrested and taken to the Calhoun County Jail, and a warrant for maintaining a meth lab is being sought against him. Another search warrant led police to heroin and marijuana. A second man, 42, also turned out to have outstanding warrants for his arrest, and he was also taken to jail. Charges are being sought against him for possession of heroin and possession of marijuana.
