GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 9, 2014) — The mystery behind the diary of a World War I soldier is a step closer to being solved.
The goal is to find living relatives of Jacob Bouman so the book can be handed over to them.
That search continues.
As FOX 17 reported Friday, Bouman’s diary was found in a Kentwood woman’s antique box. Jan Oendag said she bought that box 30 years ago at an auction.
Well over a dozen people reached out to FOX 17 with key information and suggestions to help track down the Grand Rapids soldier’s family.
