GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 25, 2014)–First responders are on the scene of an accident Saturday morning, where power poles were taken out.
Police said a teenage driver hit a pothole, lost control and crashed into two power poles. The victim’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening. Police said alcohol is not a factor.
Power outages are being reported due to this accident in the area of Burton St. SW and Jerome Ave. SW. According to Consumer’s Energy, over 1,000 residents are without power.
