THE INTERNET (May 5, 2014) — Everybody has a grandma. They just need to go to Instagram to find her.
She’s Grandma Betty, and she says, “I’m The World’s Grandma.”
Her grandson, Zach Belen, got her started on Instagram after she was diagnosed in December with terminal cancer. His pictures and videos of Betty were an instant hit.
“One of the things I hope for my grandma is that the rest of her days be nothing but happy, because i think she very much deserves that,” he says.
Now, Grandma Betty, who lives in southern Indiana, has more than 600,000 followers, thanks to her pep talks and dancing. Music star Pharrell was an early joiner.
Betty says she will “be anybody’s grandma. I can’t travel much, but I’ll be there for ya.”
