DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK FOX 2, May 42014)- Detroit police say a 19-year-old man is dead after a shooting at the Cinco de Mayo Parade in Southwest Detroit on Sunday.
The shooting happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. near West Vernor Highway and Ferdinand Street.
According to Detroit police officer Adam Madera a 24-year-old man is in custody in connection with the shooting. Police are still investigating.
The parade was shut down after the shooting.
