Two Former Griffins Now Red Wings Players Facing Lawsuit For Loud Parties

Posted

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WJBK, March 29, 2014)- Most Red Wings fans can agree 23-year-old Tomas Tatar is a talented addition to the roster, but his apparent behavior off the ice could get him shutout of his downtown Royal Oak condo.

A complaint filed Thursday alleges Tatar, who is renting fellow player Darren Helms’s condo, is throwing loud parties when he’s in town. Music is apparently played at a high volume and pounding on the walls is happening until four in the morning.

Helm and Tatar, given two notices each, have at least four complaints dating back to October of 2013. Royal Oak police tell FOX 2’s Erika Erickson they’ve been to the lofts at least five times for noise complaints.

One Royal Oak business owner says Tatar has even bragged about his parties before.

But three neighbors tell Erickson Tatar has been nothing but neighborly. Others say he’s young and to let him have his fun.
