MARSHALL, Mich. (March 12, 2014) — The family of Mary Lands will hold a memorial service for her on Mar. 12, which marks the 10th anniversary of her disappearance.
It will take place at 10 a.m. at Craig Kempf Funeral Home on Old U.S. 27 in Marshall. The family hopes to raise awareness about the case and expects several law enforcement officers to attend as well as the Calhoun County Prosecutor.
Lands was last seen leaving her apartment in Marshall in March of 2004. She was engaged to a man named Chris Pratt at the time, and the two got into an argument before she disappeared. He was the only person considered to be a person of interest in this case. He was serving time for separate domestic violence charges and was released from prison earlier this year.
No arrests have been made in the case and Lands’ body has never been found.
