GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Feb. 25, 2014) — Gilda’s LaughFest will kick off with another Guinness World Record attempt, and this year it’s for the largest number of people wearing sunglasses in the dark.
The community is invited to take part on March 6 in Rosa Parks Circle. Pre-kickoff activities and the line up will take place at 5:30/6 p.m., practice is at 7 p.m., and the official attempt to break the current record will take place at 7:15 p.m.
The current record for the largest number of people wearing sunglasses in the dark was set in July 2012 with 1,642 participants at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Il.
The event features giveaways, a photo booth, and all participants will get official LaughFest sunglasses. LaughFest runs March 6-16 in Grand Rapids, Holland, and Lowell.
