COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (Feb. 22, 2014)- A veterinarian had to be called Saturday morning to I-96 to sedate a horse after the trailer is was riding in rollover on the highway, trapping the horse inside.
According to Ottawa County officials on scene, the accident happened around 9:15 a.m. Saturday morning on westbound I-96 near the Coopersville exit.
Deputies say that the driver is uninjured, and the veterinarian was called to the scene to sedate the horse, because the horse was in distressed.
Coopersville Fire department was also called out to help free the horse from the trailer.
