GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (February 21, 2014) – The case against a woman accused of firing a gun at McDonald’s workers after getting a drive-thru order that wasn’t right is now heading to felony court.
29-year-old Shaneka Monique Torres was bound over to circuit court on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm at an occupied structure and felony firearms.
Investigators say Torres opened fire from the passenger seat of a car at the drive-thru of the McDonald’s on 28th Street near Madison Avenue earlier this month.
Investigators say Torres had ordered a burger with bacon, and when she got the order, it didn’t have bacon, leading to the shooting.
Nobody inside the McDonald’s was hurt.
Torres faces up to 7 years in prison if convicted.
