Wind Chill Advisory Tonight

Posted

WEST MICHIGAN — FOX 17 — (Feb. 6,2014) — Another blast of Arctic air, combined with brisk winds, will produce wind chills well below zero tonight in West Michigan. The entire area is under a wind chill advisory from 1AM until 10AM Friday.

This image from our in-house computer model, Future Track, shows temperatures and wind chills first thing in the morning. Along and south of I-94, away from the influence of Lake Michigan, wind chills will likely be 20 below or colder.

This cold air blowing over a still unfrozen Lake Michigan is also resulting in lake-effect snow. Additional accumulations of an inch or two are possible before midnight.
