BUFFALO, NY — It didn’t take long for former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz to land on his feet.
The Buffalo Bills hired Schwartz as their new defensive coordinator. Schwartz replaces Mike Pettine, who was hired as the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
Schwartz had spent the last five seasons as the Lions head coach going 29-51 with one playoff appearance in 2011. Prior to that Schwartz was the Tennessee Titans’ defensive coordinator for eight seasons.
