KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A three-hour standoff in Kalamazoo led to no arrests Monday.
According to Lt. Brad Misner, a man kicked in the door of his girlfriend’s Ada street home just before noon and threatened her with a handgun.
She called police, who arrived on the scene roughly five minutes later. She made it out safely, and the man was nowhere to be found after a SWAT team was called in to search the home.
The suspect is described by police as a black male who is 5 feet 11 inches and in his late 20s or early 30s. His name was not released, and no other description was given.
