DETROIT — New Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell doesn’t appear to be wasting anytime in putting together a coaching staff.

ESPN’s Ed Werder reported Tuesday that Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor will be the Lions next offensive coordinator. Lazor joined the Eagles’ staff this season and is considered a key part to the success of Nick Foles as the Eagles’ quarterback this season.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Ravens secondary coach Teryl Austin is expected to join Caldwell in Detroit as his new defensive coordinator. Austin has worked with Caldwell at the college level as well at Penn State and Wake Forest.

Caldwell will be introduced as the 26th head coach in Detroit Lions history at  4:00 p.m. press conference Wednesday.
