ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A semi-truck was struck by a train Tuesday afternoon in the 6000 block of Chicago Drive in Zeeland Township.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the truck driver stopped at the tracks just after noon, but due to whiteout conditions couldn’t see or hear the train coming and continued driving.
The train’s emergency brakes were applied, but it still hit the front of the semi. No one was injured in the crash.
