Dairy Farmers Brave The Frigid Temps.

Posted

BYRON CENTER, Mich.,–Karin Uebbing and her husband are some of those folks who had no choice but to brave the frigid temperatures Monday.

They own Woodbridge Dairy Farm out of Byron Center and spent the day traveling between their two farms to check on and feed the cows.  Everything they did Monday took that much longer as the wind and blowing snow made things more difficult.

The cold temperatures even wearing on the tractors, the couple had to jump it with their truck to get it start. Uebbing says while the cows are in the barn, it’s not insulated and there is the concern of frost bite.

The couple though, not complaining, they say it’s their job and its ‘Michigan’, they’re just doing what they have to get by.
