FOX 17 — While we in West Michigan will have a relatively quiet day Wednesday (except for some lake-effect snow between here and Chicago), a big storm along the east coast could create flight delays across the entire country. The timing is less than ideal, since Wednesday is one of the busiest travel days of the year.
This image from our in-house computer model, Future Track, shows the weather along the east coast on Wednesday morning. Heavy rain and wind are expected in New England, as well as the larger cities along the east coast and the mid-Atlantic. Several major airports could be affected with flight delays, and when this happens, there is usually a domino effect across the rest of the United States. Make sure you call ahead if you have flights scheduled for Wednesday.
Here at home, there will be some heavy lake-effect snow Tuesday night and Wednesday in far Southwest Lower Michigan and parts of Northwest Indiana. For the latest forecast, join us on FOX 17 News or visit the weather page at http://www.fox17online.com/weather
