PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after crashing his truck into a tree late Tuesday night.
The accident happened on Rogue River Avenue at around 10:37 p.m. According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, 22-year-old Michael Wellman lost control of his 1975 Chevrolet Suburban while going around a curve. The truck smashed into a tree, pinning Wellman in the vehicle.
Once crews extricated him from the truck, Wellman was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
