SPRINGFIELD, Mich. –A woman called a Springfield nursing home Monday and said that a bomb would detonate at the facility, according to Calhoun County deputies.
About 75 residents of Evergreen Manor, 111 Evergreen Rd., were evacuated and kept out of the building for several hours following the threat, which was called in at 12:37 p.m.
A Michigan State Police bomb-detection dog searched the building at roughly 2:35 p.m. By 3:40 p.m., the building was declared safe for residents.
