KALAMAZOO, Mich- More than 250 members were on hand for a special church service in Kalamazoo and it looked more like a sporting event than it did church. The members of North Park reformed Church we dressed in pink. it was the idea of elder Rick Chambers.”People really gathered around the idea …because cancer is effecting so man in our congregation and beyond..this is just a small way that we can show that love and encouragement for those folks.”

The church took a special offering and raised over four thousand dollars to go to a local charity for pediatric cancer patients.

“cancer is an incredibly prevalent disease and it has effected so many people in our community and in our congregation so we wanted to do something that would show our love and support and encourage folks who are struggling with this disease.” That is exactly what the folks from North Park Reformed are doing.
