2 Injured in Head-on Collision

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two women were taken to the hospital on Thursday evening, following a head-on collision in Georgetown Township.  One of the victims suffered critical injuries.

The crash happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. at Cottonwood and Greenwood in Georgetown Township.  According to police, 21-year-old Shandiin Church was driving a Honda Civic, and crossed the center line.  She struck a Ford Fusion, driven by 21-year-old Amanda Aquiline.

Church was taken to the hospital, where she is currently listed in critical condition.  The other driver is expected to be okay.

Alcohol is not believe to have been a factor in this crash.
