WASHINGTON D.C. – Jofi Joseph, the former White House National Security Official fired after anonymously insulting people on Twitter, grew up in Muskegon.

Joseph lost his job after it was discovered that he was behind an anonymous Twitter account and was allegedly posting insulting comments about the current administration.  Joseph has a long history of academic accomplishments including graduating from Muskegon Catholic Central High School.

The Twitter account, which was @NatSecWonk is now disabled after he was fired.  His tweets often involved insults and criticism of the President and other members of the Obama administration.

Sometimes, the tweets targeted republicans.  One such tweet read, “So when will someone do us the favor of getting rid of Sarah Palin and the rest of her white trash family? What utter useless garbage…”

At this time there is no indication that he leaked any classified information or matters of national security.

A look into his history shows that he graduated from Georgetown University and Princeton University where he studied politics and foreign affairs before landing a career on Capitol Hill, according to the Princeton University Archives.

In 2009, he started working for President Obama.  In 2011, tweets under the anonymous twitter handle surfaced.  They would continue until he was fired and the account was deactivated just this week.
