WALKER, Mich.- The numbers are in for the first ever “Bark in the Dark” fundraiser for the Humane Society of West Michigan, earlier this month.
The pet friendly event, which happened on the streets of Walker ended up being a big hit despite the rain.
People donated $30 to register for the glow in the dark 5K run-walk. They could also raise money by getting pledges from their friends and family.
In the end, the community raised $20,000 for the cause, a huge success for the first year.
