GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Shelby hasn’t had much luck against Oakridge the last 3 years, the Tigers hope to change that when the 2 unbeatens meet this week at Russell A. Erickson Stadium.
Shelby (5-0) and Oakridge (5-0) shared the West Michgian Conference title in 2010 and 2011, with the Eagles winning it outright last season. This years seniors for theTigers have never beaten Oakridge at any level. “It’s going to be an exciting game, it’s going to be a tough game too, we really want to get this one” Shelby senior fullback and linebacker Forrest Courtright said.
As if this game wasn’t big enough, it is also homecoming for Oakridge. “This week has been a good week of practice, even with homecoming the main objective is the game Friday night” Eagles head coach Cary Harger said.
Shelby and Oakridge is the Blitz game of the week Friday night.
