WYOMING, Mich. — Vivian Jackson said her 4-year-old son Gabriel wandered away from his elementary school Friday, and she didn’t know about it for two hours.
Gabriel was found a half a mile away from North Godwin Elementary School, at the middle school. School security officials were notified he was missing at 11 a.m. and left a message on Jackson’s answering machine at 11:30.
Jackson tells FOX 17 that when she attempted to call the school back, she wasn’t able to get through until about 1 p.m.. She said the message on her answering machine only said to call the school. When she got through to Principal Mary Lang, she said she was told that her son had just been found.
