One Person Extricated After A Near Head On Crash

Ottawa County SheriffGRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich- One person had to extricated from a vehicle Sunday afternoon after a crash on Mercury Drive in Grand Haven Township.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by Megan Morehouse, 18, from Grand Haven was travelling west bound on Mercury Dr. when she crossed the center turn lane in the curve and hit another vehicle driven by Donald Ashley, 25, almost head on.

Morehouse had to be extricated from her vehicle. She was then taken to North Ottawa Hospital with serious injuries.  Mr. Ashley was not injured in the crash and his passenger only had minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
