Sheriff’s Office: Hartford Man Found Passed Out In Jeep

Jose Robles-GuzmanVAN BUREN COUNTY,Mich. — Deputies were dispatched September 8 around 3:30am to mile marker 49 of westbound I-94 for a vehicle that was parked in the travel lane of the freeway.  When Deputies arrived they located a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the travel lane, with its’ engine and lights turned off.  The driver 41-year-old Jose Robles-Guzman of Hartford was found unconscious in the driver’s seat.  Deputies were able to wake the subject and determined that he was highly intoxicated.

Guzman had 6 prior convictions for operating while intoxicated and is currently on probation for operating while intoxicated 3rd offense. Guzman was  charged with OWI 3rd and DWLS 2nd. Bond was set at $50,000. He remains lodged at Van Buren County Jail.
