Write Michigan Short Story Contest

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Have you ever dreamt about becoming an author? This is your chance. The Kent District Library is joining the Write Michigan Short Story Contest.

The contest is statewide and is broken down into three different categories. The first is the youth category for ages 11 and under, it is free to enter. The second is the teen category for 12-17 year olds and it is free to enter. The last one is the adult category for those 18 and up, it will cost you $10 to enter.

There are judges’ and readers’ choice winners who will win cash prizes. The top five stories in each category will be published in the 2014 Write Michigan Anthology.

You can submit your stories from now until November 30th. The winners will be announced on February 3rd.
