Newaygo Deputies Seek Armed Bank Robbery Suspect

CROTON, Mich. — Newaygo County deputies are searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of the Independent Bank in Croton Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect is a white male in his mid-twenties, 5 feet 10 inches tall between 170 and 180 lbs with long black hair.  He was wearing a black, gray and white plaid shirt and a cap at the time of the robbery.

According to a press release, he is believed to be driving a 2002 gray or silver Buick Regal with a blue bumper and a rust colored trunk.  The license plate on the car is 6GPX68.  He may be from the Big Rapids area, according to Newaygo deputies.
