Small Tornado Touches Down in Michigan

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. — The National Weather Service confirms that a small tornado touched down in Michigan on Tuesday night.

The EF-0 tornado followed a 2.8-mile path, uprooting trees and causing minor structural damage in rural Hamburg Township.  It had maximum wind speeds of 80 miles per hour.

No injuries were reported.  EF-0 is the lowest on the measurement scale for tornadoes.
