GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Temperatures will continue to heat up around West Michigan for one more day Wednesday, with highs near 90° in the afternoon.
Humidity will increase a bit more as well, but not quite to the levels of the heat wave earlier in the summer. Conditions will warrant another Clean Air Action! Day for most of the region, though. Click here for more information on that program.
A southwest breeze will pick up as a weak cold front approaches from the northwest. That front will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with it, most of which will affect West Michigan while we sleep Wednesday night.
While individual storms may contain briefly heavy rain, severe weather is not expected, and some locations may miss out on wet weather altogether.
The last of the rain should be moving out by midday Thursday, with sun and more comfortable air returning for the end of the workweek.
Another stretch of hot, humid weather is expected next week; click here for the full 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page.
