WASHINGSTON, D.C. — Jeffrey Bezos, the founder and chief executive of online retailer Amazon.com, has purchased “The Washington Post” for $250 million.
According to an article from the paper’s website, Bezos is paying cash for the Washington Post Co., and Amazon will have no involvement in its running. The Post Co. will continue to operate under a still-undecided name without the paper.
