TEMPERATURES: Normal highs in August fall from 82 degrees on the 1st to 78 degrees on the 31st. Normal lows likewise fall from 62 to 58. The record high for the month is 102 degrees, set on the 6th in 1918. The record low is 39, set on the 30th in 1976.
RAINFALL: There is normally 3.59″ of rain this month. There has been as much as 8.46″ in 1987 and as little as 0.13″ in 1899.
LENGTH OF DAYLIGHT: Here is a look at the sunrise and sunset times, as well as the length of daylight:
- 1st: Sunrise 6:34am, sunset 9:03pm. Length of daylight is 14 hours, 29 minutes.
- 31st: Sunrise 7:06am, sunset 8:19pm. Length of daylight is 13 hours and 13 minutes.
This results in a loss of 1 hour and 16 minutes of daylight.
