GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Zoo-goers can now see a baby howler monkey when they visit the John Ball Zoo.
The baby was born May 29, and you can now see it during regular zoo hours. Although Zookeepers are keeping a close eye on the mother and infant, they have kept their distance so that the family can behave naturally.
They will not attempt to weigh, examine and sex the baby until the fall.
The howler monkey is at the Treasure of the Tropics building, at the zoo located at 1300 W Fulton in Grand Rapids.
