Monday Forecast: Cool, But Pleasant

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A pleasant day of weather will start off the holiday week around West Michigan, but chances of rain will develop over the next couple of days.

Skies will remain partly cloudy for most of the region, as an upper-level low-pressure center spins off to the east.  However, the further south and east one travels across the state, the more cloud cover one will see.

A few spots will also see at least some isolated showers developing in the afternoon, primarily south of I-94 and east of I-69.  Temperatures will be just a bit cooler than Sunday, with highs mostly in the upper 70s.

That upper-level low will spin back west a bit more Tuesday, allowing more widespread cloudiness and additional rain chances to affect West Michigan.

A few chances of thunderstorms will continue into the Independence Day holiday, followed by some warmer conditions into next weekend.
