GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Floyd Mayweather, Sr. and his son, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. share a name, a love of boxing, and they started their journey together in Grand Rapids when Floyd, Jr. was born. The elder is one of the best trainers the sport has ever seen; the younger is considered the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
Both were in Grand Rapids again on June 26 to promote Floyd Jr.’s September 14th title fight — just months after reuniting to work together for the first time in 13 years.
