MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — Thursday is National HIV Testing Day, and the Muskegon County Public Health Department is offering incentives to encourage people to get tested.

Anyone who gets tested on Thursday will be entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets to Michigan’s Adventure and will also receive a $5 incentive.

HIV testing is offered year round at no charge. Testing hours are between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and noon to 4 p.m., and service is provided on a walk in basis.

You can get an HIV test with a blood sample from a finger poke that gives results in about 15 minutes, or you can choose to have the inside of your cheek swabbed, which gives results in about a week.
