KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich- Saturday Afternoon, The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department responded to a report of a 71 year old white male who walked away from his home in the 600 Block of Chicago Avenue. Despite efforts of officers and K-9 units, they were unable to locate the man.
The man is identified as Tom William Thomas. He is described as a white male, 71 years old, approximately 5’10” tall, 225 lbs. with medium build. Mr. Thomas was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, blue jeans, glasses, and black shoes.
Mr. Thomas according to police, is depressed and reported to be despondent over a recent decline in his health. In addition, he is reported to be an insulin dependent diabetic who suffers from the beginning stages of dementia which may cause him to become confused.
Anyone coming into contact with Mr. Thomas is advised not to approach him and to contact the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department at (269) 343-0568 or their local authorities immediately.
