IONIA, Mich — A father has been found guilty of murdering his son, in addition to child abuse, according to the Ionia County Prosecutor’s Office.
Back in September, Keith Thibeault pleaded not guilty to a felony first-degree murder charge. He was accused of killing his 3-month-old son Everette in March of last year, when he was supposed to be taking care of both Everette and his twin brother. Thibeault had blamed the injuries on a fall from a couch.
According to the Ionia Sentinel-Standard, closing statements in the trial ended around 4:30 p.m. Then following four hours of deliberations, the jury reached a verdict.
