Luke Eaves was last seen in the Baldwin area on Friday, and also texted his stepdaughter, “goodbye” after leaving according to Newaygo County Sheriff’s deputy Lieutenant Chad Palmiter. Eaves never said anything about where he was going, and his phone is now off.
“We’ve activated our patrols up here with approximately eight patrol units,” Palmer said. State police are also expected to fly their helicopter over the area Wednesday morning.
Eaves’ wife Karla said that when she came home Friday afternoon, she noticed he hadn’t checked the mail or fed the horses, and only his Ford F-150 and cell phone appeared to be gone.
“This is not like him,” Luke’s wife Karla Eaves said. “It’s out of character for him to just not contact anybody.”
Palmiter is asking anyone with any information about this case to contact the Newaygo County central dispatch or Silent Observer.
