CASNOVIA, Mich. — Surveillance video caught an armed home invasion early Saturday morning in Casnovia have been caught and arrested.
During the early morning hours last Saturday, the Kent County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an armed home invasion in the 300 block of North Main Street NW in the village of Casnovia in northwestern Kent County. No one was home at the time and the home invasion was captured on the victim’s surveillance video.
31-year-old David Elvin Dietz and 29-year-old Earnest Doninque Dilworth were arrested.
Authorities say Dietz will be charged with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, felony firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. Dietz’s bond was set at $250,000. Dilworth will be charged with home invasion and conspiracy to commit home invasion. His bond was set at $75,000.
On further investigation, detectives determined David Dietz’s wife, Kelley Dietz, was also
involved in the armed home invasion and acted as the “look-out.” The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office reviewed the new information and charged Kelley Dietz (maiden name: Heukels), 37, of Walker, with Home Invasion 1st Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Home Invasion 1st Degree. On June 3, 2013, Kelley was arraigned in the 63rd District
Court and bonded out the same day on a $25,000 Cash Surety Bond.
