Pleasant Memorial Weekend Forecast

Posted

(WEST MICHIGAN) — Cooler, drier air will filter into West Michigan this morning clearing skies and leading to a beautiful start to the holiday weekend. Light winds out of the north today will keep temperatures slightly cooler with afternoon high temperatures warming into the mid to upper 60’s.

Clear skies this evening will make for perfect viewing of the celestial triangle. Venus, Jupiter and Mercury are the three brightest planets when viewed from Earth and Friday night they came very close to each other forming a triangle in the sky. The best time to view the phenomena is shortly before sunrise in the western sky. The planets are visible to the naked eye and stick out fairly well from the rest of the nights sky.

The holiday weekend should remain dry through Memorial Day when we bring in a slight chance for a late afternoon thunderstorm or two but it looks like the weather will stay pleasant for Memorial Day parades and services.
